Congratulations on reaching an important milestone: Medicare eligibility!
And congratulations on taking the first step in making sure you are taking
care of your important healthcare needs. While there are a lot of details
about Medicare available on this site and others, our job at
Senior Educators Insurance Services is to make the transition and
the job of navigating Medicare easy.
One of the important decisions when you join Medicare is what type of
health insurance beyond
Original Medicare you will need.
Nearly everyone elects to get some sort of private insurance to supplement
or administer their Medicare, because Original Medicare, although good
insurance alone, is insufficient if one were to need extensive healthcare services.
If you will be needing insurance when you begin Medicare, click the
“Need Insurance” option on
the left-hand side of the screen to learn more or simply give us a call
at 1-800-505-8575 and we’ll be happy to discuss your options with you.
If you will have coverage beyond Medicare through a employee/retiree
plan, the Federal Employees Health Benefit (FEHB) plan,
Tricare,
Veteran’s Affairs (VA) benefits, or
Medicaid, you’ll want to
do a little homework to see if you should enroll in
Original Medicare and other health insurance.
Simply click the section that best applies to your situation on the
left side of this page
